Freesbe isn't loading or something stopped working

TroubleshootingFor everyoneReviewed Guides: Getting started

The app shows a spinner and never opens, messages stay grey, files won’t upload, or calls drop for everyone in the room. First find out whether it’s Freesbe or just you.

Open status.freesbe.net. It runs on its own servers, apart from the app, and shows at a glance:

  • whether everything is working right now, checked every minute from Frankfurt, Virginia, Singapore and Sydney the way your app does it: signing in, sending a message, uploading a file;
  • every part of Freesbe (the app, messaging, files, calls and meetings, the phone system, AI, email and notifications, the API) with the last 90 days;
  • any incident our team is working on, with updates as it goes, and planned maintenance ahead of time.

If the page says All systems working and the problem is only yours, keep reading. The app itself shows a bar at the top while something it needs is down, so if there’s no bar and the status page is green, it’s most likely your side.

If the status page itself won’t load, either your connection can’t reach the internet or something unusual is going on. Try the page on your phone’s mobile data: if it loads there, the problem is the network you’re on. If it doesn’t load anywhere, write to support@freesbe.net.

To hear about incidents first, subscribe by email, in a Freesbe channel, by webhook, RSS or in your calendar. See The status page.

  1. Reload the page, or quit and reopen the desktop app.
  2. Check that other sites load. A company VPN or firewall may block app.freesbe.net or its live connection: ask your IT team to allow *.freesbe.net.
  3. Make sure you have the latest version: see Freesbe is out of date.
  4. For calls, see I can’t hear or be heard.

Still stuck? Write to support@freesbe.net with what you see and the time it started.
